If I'm going to ask you to trust me, then it's only fair that you know about me. I was born in Western Arkansas but grew up just North of Dallas, Texas. I went to Austin College for my undergraduate education and then attended the University of Aknasas School of Law. After graduation I returned home to Sherman, Texas and worked for a year as a criminal defense attorney. At the end fo that year, I took an ADA position in Lamar County, Texas. In Lamar County, I handled misdemeanors, felonies, child protective services cases, juvenile cases, and writs. After about three years in Lamar County, I took a position with as an ADA with Comal County, Texas. At Comal County, I handled misdemenears, felonies, child protective cases, juvenile cases, appelas, and writs. I promoted quickly at Comal County moving all the way up to Division Chief over their entire Misdemeanor Division. During that time, I handled some of the counties most high profile cases. I was in Comal County for nearly 10 years before moving to the Houston area and taking an ADA position with Galveston County. In Galveston, I started out as their major fraud prosecutor before promoting up to the position of Chief of Vehicular Crimes and then District Court Chief Prosecutor.
I am a family man, lucky enough to be married to my best friend and to be father to three amazing boys. I am a Christian and I am a zealous advocate for my friends, family, and clients.
Trial should be the last resort and I will aggressively fight to get your charges dismissed, however, if that's not possible, I have extensive high-level experience with more than 150 criminal jury trials including violent crimes, crimes against children, intoxication offenses, gang-related offenses, white-collar crimes, and a wide variety of other offenses.

According to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, board certification is a special certification for substantial, relevant experience in a specialty area of law along with continuing legal education hours in the specialty area and passage of a rigorous exam.
